Show of Hands is a pioneering art project encouraging the local community to utilise art as a tool for social change.
Every two months a select group of local artists are challenged to individually produce a striking and evocative visual commentary on a selected social issue.
We then showcase the work over one evening in an East London pub and invite you to attend, connect, and engage before voting for your favourite.
The victorious artwork is won by one of it's voters; the winning artist is crowned champ and awarded a cash prize; all profits are donated to charity.
our next event
Our next event is coming up on 7th December and will be exploring Food Waste.
Every second month we provide a select group of artists with a written brief and challenge them to do their thing. If you've got a creative bone and want to exhibit with us that's music to our ears.
For each edition, we select an issue for our artists to explore and donate all profits to a relevant local charity. If you have a cause you'd like us to raise funds and awareness for then we'd love to talk.
"A vibrant and inspirational platform to promote emerging artists and expose social and global issues."
